Is it creepy?

It was pointed out to me this morning that "calling out the lurkers" was creepy, this is something I had been considering doing for some time, not wanting to scare anyone off I have held off doing it, but I wanted to say "hi" to the regulars, especially to those who visit on a daily basis. So, what do you think? Your thoughts and feelings are important to me, answer the poll and let me know what you think. The poll is on the upper right of the blog.

UPDATE
I truly do have the best readers! Thanks for everyone's responses, the poll ended up having 36 responses, 33 approve, 3 disapprove, so all in all, the majority of you think it was OK to say hi to my readers (and lurkers). I'll remove the poll. I was going to remove this message, but I have gotten such great comments, I decided to leave it in place. Thanks again everyone! :)

  10. Guess I'm a lurker, too. Found you thru Hermit Jim. I enjoy your blog, don't get to come to it every day, but come as often as I can. I think it's great to say 'hi' to everyone. It actually makes me feel good when someone acknowledges that I wrote on their blog. I don't have a blog as yet, tho am working on it.
So, 'hi' to you from the south plains of Texas.

  12. CottonLady, glad you are here, I enjoy reading JH's site too. Don't worry about coming every day, I rarely write everyday, more like a couple of times a week at the most, I only write when there is something of interest to post.

Robbyn, thanks! The pressure cooker isn't new, although it had only been used once before, it's in pretty new shape, it's probably over 20 years old! Works like a charm... PB bought it years ago to use as an autoclave, he says he thinks he remembers using it once to sterilize a pair of tweezers.
