I want to say a great big thank you to everyone who has visited this blog, from the first time reader, to my long time loyal followers, without you, this blog would not be what it is today. I truly have the best readers (and commentators) in the entire world! IMHO.
I also want to say a great big thank you to all of those who visited my sponsors on this blog (and any of my other blogs), and an even bigger thank you to all those who made purchases through the links (Amazon, Clickbank...), with Amazon, even if you don't purchase what you clicked on (from my site), anything you purchase after that goes toward supporting this blog as long as you haven't clicked on another Amazon link from another site.
I know that no one really likes commercials, but this really is part of my income, it's not a huge amount by any means, no one is getting rich here. For us, we don't require big "paychecks", we live pretty small money wise, back in the city, this would have never been enough to survive on, heck it wouldn't have even bought lunch for the week, but living off grid, with few bills, the money earned from my sponsors goes a lot farther (or is it further?).
I try my best to make the ads here something that you would be interested in, relevant to the subject matter on the blog. I try to make the ads as non-obnoxious and non-in-your-face as possible, I don't want this to become an ad-fest. For those who really dislike the ads, let me remind you that I don't charge anything to access this site, I offer loads of free information, my (off grid) life and experiences, which is why, I assume, you are here.
Last but not least, I want to give out a huge thank you for those of you who pushed the donate button, you know who you are. :) Again, I tried to make that a subtle thing, I have it pretty far down the page, it's not the top item on my page, it's not jumping and blinking, it's just there, politely waiting. I have received everything from a few dollars to more than I ever expected from one person, if you are considering donating, don't think you have to donate a large quantity (though I wouldn't turn it down, LOL), even a dollar or two helps, if even half the people who visit me on a daily basis donated a few dollars, even once a month, that would add up to a lot of support.
All moneys earned through this and my other blogs goes toward purchasing things needed for survival and living, from warm winter clothes, to plumbing parts, building materials, car parts, internet access, paying taxes and such. It's not going toward frivolous items, we aren't going out to eat (unless you count McD's every few months, and at that I only buy from the dollar menu!), we are very frugal, you might be shocked at how little we live on, oh I'm not complaining, I'm quite proud of how we live and how we get by, it's all good. :)
Again, thank you and blessings to each and every one of you, you make this all possible. :)
